With the new Mercedes-Benz Trucks range, we are able to offer you vehicles incorporating the rich fund of experience and expertise acquired over more than 100 years of German engineering, equipped with leading Mercedes-Benz vehicle technology and components tested under the toughest conditions. This applies to engines, transmissions and drive axles as well as frames, chassis, suspension and cabs.

The new Actros – for more efficiency. In addition to its reliable and durable design, efficiency is the second core characteristic of the new Actros, based first and foremost on its particularly low fuel consumption. Low wear and a higher resale value are additional merits contributing to its high overall efficiency. To this end, numerous innovative technical measures were implemented in the course of developing the new Actros. These result in engines with high performance and lower fuel consumption, a powertrain which enables an economical driving style, and an aerodynamic design honed down to the finest details in the interests of fuel efficiency. All in all, with fuel savings of up to 6% compared to its predecessor, the new Actros offers an ideal basis for more profitable operations than ever.
The further advanced Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated gearshift combines an economical driving style with smooth gear changing and a high level of driving comfort. The application-matched and aerodynamic cabs of the new Actros also contribute to the high level of efficiency. For feeling safe – from start to finish.
When it comes to safety, you’ll be way ahead of the competition with the new Actros. In addition to the proven electronic braking system with ABS, ASR, Brake Assist and hill-hold control, the standard Stability Control Assist and the optionally available Proximity Control Assist with stop-and-go function provide a high level of safety. The new Attention Assist can further enhance safety. Based on specific factors such as steering behaviour it can recognise growing driver fatigue and inattention, and can issue visual and acoustic reminders to take a break. Attention Assist is available as an option in conjunction with the optional Lane Keeping Assist. Even more driver relief is provided by the optional rain and light sensor, the co-driver’s mirror with manoeuvring function, the tyre pressure monitoring system and a coupling monitored by a sensor that displays the locking state in the instrument cluster.
More innovations, enhanced safety, fewer accidents.
The powerful headlamps of the new Actros are optionally available with bi-xenon design. Furthermore, safety is enhanced upon request with the new LED daytime running lamps and LED tail lamps. The standard-specification “follow-me-home” lighting points the way for the driver when getting in and out of the truck. A powerful engine brake ensures low brake wear. The Actros can furthermore be equipped with the new High-Performance Brake1). A newly developed powerful and at the same time quiet retarder provides even more comfortable braking. Instead of oil the more efficient and lighter retarder now uses the engine’s coolant for cooling. It is fully integrated into the braking system and supplies a braking torque of up to 3500 Nm. Optionally available ‘Safety Packs’ enhance the safety level and as a result of inexpensive package prices, attractive leasing or financing terms and lower insurance premiums2) also contribute to higher profitability.

The long cab is available in two widths, with three roof shapes ClassicSpace, StreamSpace and GigaSpace) and two engine tunnel variants (170 mm, level floor), the Actros covers practically all requirements in terms of space, equipment and comfort.
